Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
MAT is a standardized test being administered
since 1988 to facilitate business schools
(B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission
to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India,
Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level
test in 2003. Any B-School- national or
international- can consider MAT Score as an
admission input
MAT Syllabus 2019:
Important Features
1. The MAT 2019 Exam will be conducted on the
3rd Sunday of Feb’19, May’19, Sept’19, and
Dec’19.
2. Around 600 B-Schools accept the MAT 2019
score.
3. Candidates can register only via online mode.
4. Candidates can appear for the exam using any
one or both the modes- paper based test and
computer based test
5. The questions are only multiple choice types(
MCQs)
6. There are 200 questions in 150 minutes or 2
hours 30 minutes

The MAT Exam 2019 has 5 sections in its
question paper. They are:
1) Language Comprehension
2) Mathematical Skills
3) Data Analysis and Sufficiency
4) Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
5) Indian and Global Environment
